Growing up Stark wasn't easy. Though she started out in the workshops being taught by her dad, building little robots by age six with her brother, things took a turn for the worse as she grew up. With Mom being cold and running the house like a business and Dad being fun but irresponsible----and in and out of rehab----and the paparazzi, Mariah came to hate the Stark name. She took apart all her mechanical toys, denied her natural Stark brilliance, and took on a life completely opposite from the way she'd been raised. Anti-wealth, anti-fame, anti-technology. After one too many public protests, Daddy cut her off financially. She couldn't afford to live her elitist green & vegan lifestyle in the way she used to. After learning of her parents' impending (and long overdue) divorce, and being thrust into the real world of the poor and unfamous, Mariah's feeling a little vulnerable. She's not sure where she belongs.
